Join the Mentors' Circle and share your knowledge with a fast-growing community of knowledge surfers who love to learn. Mentors are volunteers from around the world with expertise in one or more fields. You don't need a college degree to be a mentor but you must be well-versed on your chosen subject and able to answer questions from students and forum readers. Your expertise can come from on-the-job training, academic courses, or life experience.
You decide how much time you'll devote to mentoring. In many classrooms, you might be called upon for only a few minutes from time to time, and most have have several mentors so that if you are unavailable, others can assist. You can just answer questions or be more involved and provide feedback, suggest useful links, even post your own tutorials from time to time.
For online classes, you are not expected to write lessons; however, you are welcome to suggest additions or revisions to the course. Likewise, you don't have to grade homework, although any feedback that you give will offer students useful insights and will be appreciated.
Please review our current forums below and if you find a subject that you want to mentor, fill in this short questionnaire. Your responses will be used to generate your profile which will be included on the Mentor Circle page. You can also browse this helpful FAQ for details on how to access discussion forums and online classrooms.
NOTE: If none of the forums below interest you, please send us an email listing the topic(s) that you would like to mentor and we will let you know when an opening occurs.
