The course explores their modus operandi, signatures, methodology, and chronologies of their murders, as well as their background and potential motivations which may have put them on the path to violence and depravity. Dr. Kurtz also discusses how these convicted killers rationalize their crimes after the fact. The course examines the psychopathology of ritualistic killing, organized vs. disorganized killers, and how modern theories on serial murder apply to the field of criminal profiling.
