![]() In this latest installment of an ongoing series on criminal psychology, Dr. Christopher Kurtz provides a window to the violent and macabre world of sexual predators. The course examines current theories on violence, the fourteen warning signs of a sexual predator, and the modern forensic tools and techniques for profiling sexual offenders, investigating rape allegations, and apprehending criminals. Dr. Kurtz examines gender issues, discussing why women kill and probing the psyche of female sexual offenders. The course also focuses on modern investigative methods and the role of regional information sharing system projects. Curriculum: Five week course. No textbooks are required, however, a suggested reading list is provided for students taking this class for professional credit.
