Meditation is an age-old technique of relaxation and self-control. It is used today by millions of people around the world to cope with the angst of mundane living. We all have stress – it is the natural by-product of worrying about what we do not have, and worrying about holding on to what we do have. Meditation allows us to control the breathing and quiet our physical senses. We can then take the next logical step to balance our emotions and achieve spiritual harmony. In this course, Lorraine Scott introduces students to methods of stress management and meditation using conscious breathing and proven relaxation techniques. These methods are simple once understood and highly effective. Participants will also examine self-analysis as a way to pinpoint sources of stress and steps that can be taken to achieve Moksha or a state of mental peace in daily living. About the Instructor
Lorraine Scott is a Reflexologist and Reiki Master by profession. Meditation has been part of her life for over fourteen years, helping deal with stress, pain, grief and problem solving. She incorporates meditation into daily life to help with stress, creativity and motivation. Quieting the mind through meditation helps her connect with the present moment and stay focused on what is important.
