What This Course Will Do for You
Writing is more than simply a way to communicate ideas to others: it is a tool that we can use for healing, empowerment, and self-discovery. This expanded nine-week course explores a variety of popular writing genre and techniques for using writing as a healing art. Each lesson provides insights into a useful technique, a writing prompt designed to promote self-healing, helpful tips to motivate you and get your creative juices flowing, and suggested inspirational readings. About the Instructor
Callie Carling is a natural beauty therapist, energy healing practitioner, and deep guided relaxation trainer and mentor. She has over twenty years experience working in Human Resources and the legal field (Criminal and Intellectual Property). A passionate advocate for empowering others to blossom into their full potential, she has been tutoring and teaching classes online and face-to-face in her home town of London, England, since 1999. Callie is currently training to be a nutritional therapist. She runs a business website, Moonpoppy Enterprises, where she offers virtual assistant services including administration, proofreading, legal transcription, and HR training. She also maintains several popular blogs, publishes a free e-zine on health and well being, and she is writing a Reflective Practice course for therapists and healing professionals.

How to Participate in this Course

You don't have to be online at any set time; study at your leisure from the comfort or your home or office. The course curriculum will include tutorial lessons, suggested readings, and optional homework activities. If you are taking the class for enjoyment or self-enrichment, homework is optional but participation is encouraged. Students who approach online learning as an adventure and actively participate will derive the most benefit and enjoyment from online learning. Homework projects, if completed satisfactorily, will earn Extra Credit points which will be added to your Final Exam score and may increase the overall grade you earn in the course.
