This four-week, "hands on" workshop will explore advanced techniques of web design which can be used to create a successful website – one that is visually appealing, user friendly, provides relevant content, and outshines millions of nondescript sites competing for audience share. Web architect Richard De A'Morelli will instruct the class and moderate weekly discussion topics on key issues such as designing a home page, navigation toolbars, layout, serving up content, identifying the target audience, and fine-tuning a website's identity and appeal. Students will be encouraged to experiment with the techniques discussed in the course to create a working website.
NOTE: This class begins Monday, September 1. (This is a week later than the start date for other summer classes.)
Curriculum: Four week class, instructor-led. No textbook required.
Prerequisites: Students who wish to enroll in this class must have a working knowledge of HTML and basic web design. Beginning HTML topics will not be addressed in this class.
