Webversity Welcomes New Instructors

May 1, 2010 — We are pleased to welcome three new instructors to the KSURF Webversity community.

Callie Carling is the new instructor for Writing As A Healing Art . Formerly a two-part class, this personal writing workshop has been merged into an expanded nine-unit course. The class is now open and enrollments are being accepted. Callie will also instruct Egyptian Mythology which will go live in June.

Callie is a natural beauty therapist, energy healing practitioner, and deep guided relaxation trainer and mentor. She has over twenty years experience working in Human Resources and the legal field (Criminal and Intellectual Property). A passionate advocate for empowering others to blossom into their full potential, she has been tutoring and teaching classes online and face-to-face in her home town of London, England, since 1999.

"I live in a beautiful part of London, and am very blessed to be surrounded by loving family and friends," Callie says. "I have a wonderful partner, and a son whom I am so proud of (he serves in the Household Cavalry here in London at present)."

Callie is currently training to be a nutritional therapist. She runs a business website, Moonpoppy Enterprises, where she offers virtual assistant services including administration, proofreading, legal transcription, and HR training. She also maintains several popular blogs, publishes a free e-zine on health and well being, and she is writing a Reflective Practice course for therapists and healing professionals.

Chuck Weinstein, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF, will share his extensive knowledge of finance with students of How to Save and Invest Wisely . The classroom is now open. He will also teach Personal Finance 101 which goes live later this summer.

Mr. Weinstein has been a financial advisor since 1984. Working with individuals and businesses, he has designed retirement and estate plans involving insurance and investment products for a wide variety of people. He is licensed to sell all types of insurance and securities products in New York and California. He has been a trainer of insurance agents for over 15 years and has taught university courses for the general public on personal financial planning and business continuation planning.

Mr. Weinstein says he teaches because he enjoys sharing the knowledge with anyone who is interested in learning more about financial matters. He says he has the ability to break down complicated subjects into easy to understand bites.

In his personal life, Chuck is a family history researcher and has spoken before many groups on the subject of genealogy. He has documented his own family back to the 17th century in eastern Europe, and helped many others find their pasts. In addition to genealogy,, he enjoys outdoors activities, reading, and surfing news and science-related sites on the Web. A native of Los Angeles, CA, and long time resident of the San Francisco Bay area, he currently lives in Deer Park, NY, in the heart of Long Island.

Sara Salas is the instructor of How to Study and Pass Tests . This class is now live and enrollments are being accepted. She will also teach Webversity's popular course, How to Be Organized (In Spite of Yourself!) which starts next month.

Sara is a freelance writer, insurance agent, and she operates a traditional business and several home-based businesses. Her writing appears on numerous websites, and she is the Hispanic culture guide for Bellaonline.com, a popular Web community.

After receiving a BS in Community Studies from the University of Massachusetts Boston, Sarah held administrative positions in a variety of fields. Currently, she is working on a Masters in global History with a concentration in Latin American Studies.

"I enjoy reading, traveling, and dancing — I love to Merengue!" Sarah says. "One of my favorite things to do is learn about new things – I am a total geek! I love the History Channel and I'm totally into theology."

Sarah lives in Ohio with her husband and her "favorite person in the world," her five-year-old son Robert.
