Richard De A'Morelli is a web designer, programmer, author, editor, and former reporter. He is now Webmaster and chief programmer for KSURF Knowledge Web, where he also teaches computer technology, writing, and self-help topics.
Richard became a published author at the age of 16 and since then, he has published 13 books and hundreds of articles on subjects ranging from computer technology to writing, self-help, and spirituality. He served as editor of several nationally circulated magazines, and he was a by-lined contributor and member of the late best-selling Irving Wallace's editorial staff.
Richard has been teaching online since the early 1980s. He has written over 20 courses, including the award-winning Exploring the Internet which helped over 250,000 users navigate the Web in its early days. Before the Internet, he had been teaching in a traditional classroom environment since the 1970s.
A prolific Perl and Javascript programmer, Richard has designed the back-end coding for a number of web sites including the original Virtual University and KSURF Knowledge Web. He has written stock analysis programs and a popular collection of widgets. Prior to the Internet, he won the Software Star Search award from Computer Reseller News for an innovative touchtone interactive application called Digital Professor.
Richard lives on the scenic California Central Coast with his wife Barbara. His leisure interests include surfing the Web, writing, woodworking, and civic involvement in local land use issues.
